corn maze, botanical garden & fun

so...here are some fun pics from my first trip to the Chicago Botanical Gardens-sarah, matt, the resident, and i went on sat..it was such a BEAUTIFUL day!! i loved it..so i got some fun pics and have included them here for your viewing pleasure. the weekend was amazing! the weather was SO great out!! i love when its nice and sunny.

lets see...oh..did i ever fill you in on the corn maze? well..it was fun...there were 5 of us, 2 in the party i will not mention because they thought they were too cool & too old for the corn maze-which annoyed me...so...lets talk about the fun the other 3 had which included: john, joce, & me...we had a BLAST! we were running a little late getting there and i wasnt being very nice to john-which i did apologize for afterwards..but when we got there we set out in the maze with our trusty walkie talkies and map. We had to get at least 20 punches on our map in order to get our "full color completion certificates". Did we get them? how dare you ask so soon-i havent even told my story.....

so...we bravely faced this 30 acre corn maze-flashlights in hand-(supposedly this corn maze is the worlds largest-who ever figures out that statistic? i will just trust them) we walked all around and got scared about 5 times by the 2 non-enthuised corn mazers (the other 2 in our group) and of coure i screamed every single stinking time..AHHHHHH....but we made it through-it took about 2 hours and many wrong turns-but we got 20 punches on our paper and got the certificate! it is proudly hanging up in my office:) so..it was fun.despite some of the people in our group-and for the record-that is the last time i invite them to do something that i consider fun-we obviously have different ideas of fun:)

so...lets see..the sox won!! thats super exciting!! world series here we come! dan wheldon won the indy car series and the last race was yesterday-bummer..no racing for a few months..sigh..oh well..ill live...tomm i am going to the zoo with jocelyn..its fall break for the students and it is SUPER SLOW aroudn here-so i took off tomm-and its free day at the zoo..even better....i will fill you in if any funny animal things happen tomm:)
