most amazing man in the world

3 years ago tommorow is when my grandfather died-i cant believe its been 3 yrs..i still feel as if i can just pick up the phone and call him or go find him working outside on some project when i go home.... its been hard...i still miss him so terribly much. ..i remember getting the phone call from my mom about him and driving home the 4 hours from fort wayne....hardly able to see the road the whole time from crying-im not sure how i made it, but i did. the song "It Is Well With My Soul" kept repeating in my head and that was a comfort...but..it was hard...my heart hurt.. i know he is now without all the terrible pain he had to suffer, but he was just like a 2nd father to me.. so...yeah..i miss him...alot...there are so many things i want to ask him or talk about with him and i just desire to hear his words of wisdom for me..... he was such a great man of faith and his relationship with the Lord is something I have always desired to acheive....he was so trusting and faithful....

but....an amazing blessing to me over the past 3 years has been my grandma. she is an amazing woman as well. i feel like i never knew her the way that i know her now. its awesome. i can sit with her for hours and talk about everything and she is so wise and loving.i am so grateful for her and how i am getting to know her in a way I never knew....

3 years ago was a tough year... i had never experienced such heartache as i did then...i remember my heart actually hurting and realized.this is what people mean when they say broken heart...it was broken..-it was awful. all i could do was cry out to God and trust him to comfort and strengthen me....God is so good and he brought me through those times with such a stronger faith and trust....when i look back it was such a whirlwind...but i am so thankful for it in an odd way...for the growth i have achieved through it all..

so to my grandfather....whom i miss so terribly much....yet am so thankful that God allowed me all the time with him that he did....amazing...
