deer

so....tonight my mom and i were driving north on naperville road through this area that is pretty much cornfields and forests. i saw these cars pulled over on the side of the road and a cop stopped behind them. so i am glancing over at both sides of the road and I look up and see this HUGE brown thing in the road...and i see it way to late. THUD the passenger side of the car totally is like a foot of the ground and i am like...AHH!! we totally wrecked the car. So i started to pull over off the side of the road thinking--this car is toast. BUT, it wasnt! I am pretty sure it was a huge deer. There aren't really any street lights on that road and no houses-so its pretty dark. There was a car in front of me but quite a ways down. so when i approached the deer and by the time i was next to it it was too late. My mom was in the car with me and was just kinda like-what in the world? so im figuring the cars on the side of the road had hit the deer and the cop just showed up and hadn't had time to remove the deer. So...yeah...craziness. thankfully we had been driving my old car, the black cavalier b/c my mom had driven up here in it. its more of a beastly car than my little civic and so I think it handled the incident way better than the civic would have....

besides smashing a deer i also got a paper bag stuck under my car today.....it was way stuck.we had to pull over to get it out..it was making a loud noise as it rubbed on the concrete..it was not my day in the car for cars.

but, honestly..its so cool how God protects us. If we had been any sooner we could have hit the deer, if we had taken my car there would have probably been more damage and if i hadnt been in the exact location i was we may have had a worse problem-even an accident...so yeah..its always so cool to see Gods provision in those little situations.

tomm we are getting up early to go enjoy the marathon--the cold, wet marathon. hopefully we will get a nice haul of clothing
